One evening, after having consumed a bit too much wine, I impulsively decided that a family Lego building session was in order. Since we are all avid Star Wars fans, and this particular set was being offered at a discounted price, it seemed like the perfect choice at the time.
Upon completing the build, we found the model to be quite impressive. It did, however, take several evenings and the assistance of a few of us to put it together. While certain sections of the model seemed a bit cramped in terms of scale, overall it still looked quite good. Of course, as expected, the price was exorbitant, but unfortunately, there aren’t any truly viable alternatives to Lego, so they can pretty much set their prices as they please.
We decided to use the finished model as an ornament, rather than for play. It became apparent that if you were to play with it, pieces would frequently come off, which could be seen as either a positive or negative aspect, depending on your perspective.

I purchased this LEGO set as a “used” item on Amazon. During Christmas time, it was priced at $160 or higher on every website I checked, and there were no sales available for this particular set. Curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to explore the option of buying a used set and find out what that actually entailed. Naturally, I didn’t want a set with missing pieces. As it turns out, “used” simply meant that everything was brand new, but the box had suffered some damage, making it ineligible to be sold as “new.” This allowed me to purchase it at a discounted price of $118. Despite having to give my son a gift in a damaged box, it didn’t bother me because it saved me nearly $50. Besides, my son wasn’t concerned about the box either. Before he opened the gift, I just let him know that the box might not look great, but it was the contents that truly mattered. Paying an extra $50 just for a pristine box seemed unnecessary. My son was elated to receive the set and managed to assemble it within two days, spending 2-3 hours each day. As for the box, it ended up in the burn bin. The set itself is impressive, with numerous movable pieces. Once it was all put together, it looked absolutely incredible! Since then, I have come to realize that many items that come in boxes may be available for purchase as “used” due to damaged packaging. Since the box isn’t a priority for me, buying things this way has allowed me to save several dollars.

I purchased this product as a Christmas present for my 7-year-old son, who specifically asked for the largest Lego set available. I was pleasantly surprised by how impressive it looked once assembled. The ship has flaps that open up, revealing intricate details on the inside. One of my son’s favorite features is that it can shoot “missiles.” My only suggestion for improvement would be to include twice as many pieces, as my son finished building it on Christmas day and lost interest just as I was about to serve dinner. Overall, it’s a really cool set, and it’s hard to believe that it’s made out of Lego when it’s fully constructed.

I bought this product during Prime Day and my family and I have had a great time building it together. I highly recommend it! One downside was that Amazon shipped it without packaging it in another box. This was disappointing because my son opened the front door and found it, spoiling the surprise. However, Amazon did a fantastic job addressing the issue by returning it and sending a replacement that was in much better condition and properly packaged in another box. Although the surprise was ruined, we still had a blast with it.
