As a new Lego enthusiast, I couldn’t resist getting this set since Corvettes are my favorite cars and orange is my favorite color. This was my first time tackling a Technic style set, and I must admit, it was quite challenging at times. The instructions occasionally called for making two identical pieces, but instead, I had to create mirror images. As a novice Lego builder, this added an extra layer of difficulty since it wasn’t explicitly stated.
One drawback of this set was that the bags containing the pieces were not numbered, resulting in a large number of pieces scattered about during the build. Additionally, it didn’t come with a tool to take it apart, which would have been handy.
Nevertheless, despite these minor inconveniences, I thoroughly enjoyed the building process. The end result is not only a joy to play with but also a visually captivating piece. Although the doors do not open, the front wheel steering is controlled by a gear in the back, while the pistons move when pushed – a clever feature indeed.
Overall, I would highly recommend this set to any Lego enthusiast, especially those who share my love for Corvettes and vibrant orange colors.
