I really enjoyed putting this product together. It was both challenging and fun, and the end result looks fantastic displayed on a shelf. Contrary to what some reviews suggested, the instructions were included in the box and I didn’t have to rely on an emailed copy. The QR code also worked flawlessly, leading me to a digital PDF of the instructions. Overall, building this set was a great experience, and I wouldn’t let negative comments discourage you from trying it yourself. I took a gamble and it definitely paid off.

As someone who has built countless Star Wars busts and has been obsessed with Legos for the past 35 years, I can confidently say that this set may not be suitable for a novice. Unlike licensed Lego kits, all the pieces need to be dumped out and organized, which could be a hassle for some. However, the instructions from beginning to end are incredibly clear and simple to follow, resulting in a truly remarkable final product!

The assembly process of this display helmet was not straightforward, but it is undeniably an amazing helmet that Lego has not yet produced. Once fully assembled, it does tend to be a little top-heavy, and the top and back pieces of the helmet are the only challenging components to put together. However, despite the slight difficulty, the end result is definitely worth it. It took me approximately 6 hours to complete, with the first hour dedicated to sorting the pieces, which is not too bad considering other Lego products. The only reason I did not give it a 5-star rating is because the back piece was particularly difficult to attach and keep in place.

Update 7/15/23:
I finally finished putting together this product after waiting for over two months (it was supposed to be a birthday gift in May). However, I had to get a whole new set and start from the beginning due to missing pieces. Fortunately, I had another set to rely on. Compared to the previous helmet, this one is sturdier. It took me a week to complete, but that was in my free time. When wearing the helmet, it does wobble a bit, but it’s fully assembled. Despite the challenges, I would do it again! The end result was definitely worth it. If you don’t enjoy a challenge, then this product may not be for you. But seriously, just look at that face! Don’t give up on it. It’s a bit frustrating, but so is General Grievous, haha.
Everything that other users have mentioned is unfortunately true. I did receive instructions, but sometimes you have to guess certain steps. I’m missing some parts, like the white wings and the knobs that connect them to the head. I only have one knob. Also, I have more light grey bricks than dark ones. It’s also true that when you try to attach one part, other completed parts might break off. Once I receive the additional pieces, I’ll provide another update. Happy building! :))

I have always been a huge fan of Lego and anything that resembles it even slightly. Naturally, I was very excited about this product and bought it without checking the reviews. However, I must admit that this is one of the most complicated builds I have ever attempted. To put it into perspective, I have spent around $1,500.00 on Lego sets in total. Given that this particular set is not a name brand, I did anticipate some unforeseen challenges. My first concern arose when I discovered that the set did not provide physical instructions. Instead, the company sends you a link and you have to download a PDF file. This was a red flag for me. Secondly, there is a component missing from this set that the company no longer produces for some reason. As a workaround, they give you detailed instructions on how to construct a more complex and, unfortunately, very unstable version of that part. Finally, if none of the issues I’ve mentioned dissuade you from purchasing this set, this one might. Half of the set does not stay assembled during the building process. I am unsure if this is due to shortcomings on the manufacturer’s part or simply because it is not a name brand Lego set. Considering the amount of money I’ve invested in Lego sets, I have never encountered a set that frustrated me to the point of not completing it, until now. I grew so exasperated with it that I ultimately threw it away. I would recommend finding another set that catches your interest and investing in that instead. This set is simply not worth the money or the headache.
